Job Description

About the Company Airbus Helicopters Southeast Asia Private Limited, Taiwan Branch, provides helicopter maintenance and support in Taiwan to Airbus Helicopters standards. Role Overview The position must be based in Taichung City. The inspector is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing aircraft to ensure safe operation and conformity with the highest quality and safety standards, in line with the Airbus Helicopters standard and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Carry out quality control technical inspections for in-progress and final maintenance, repair, modification, rework and overhaul of aircraft, their components and component parts related to the continuity of aircraft airworthiness. Troubleshoot, or lead troubleshooting of, problems on aircraft systems. Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with the latest revision of the manufacturer's maintenance manual or technical instructions. Sign the aircraft maintenance release certificate to certify that the maintenance work has been completed satisfactorily and in accordance with the procedures in the manufacturer's maintenance manual. Ensure all required inspections are completed and documented and defer defects in accordance with the MEL where applicable. Perform quality and safety inspections of ground support equipment, test equipment and tools used in aircraft maintenance. Perform special aircraft and component technical inspections such as ASB, SB, RDAS and AD. Inspect and correct maintenance forms and records to verify compliance with the appropriate references and publications. Provide technical guidance and instruction and interpret written instructions and procedures for aircraft technicians to ensure high quality work. Supervise and direct the work of aircraft mechanics and helpers and of less experienced personnel. Fly with the aircraft as flight engineer to perform maintenance check tasks such as vibration checks and adjustment, autopilot system function checks and post-maintenance verification checks. Order spare parts required for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and verify the modification status applicable to the aircraft. Perform work at locations and sites assigned by the base manager or supervisor, and other related duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Assist the base manager or supervisor in coordinating and supervising daily hangar activities and aircraft maintenance tasks. Check and verify TMDE calibration and repair reports, ensure they conform to the instruction sheet and manufacturer's standard, and sign the serviceable label tag once satisfied. Perform the duties and functions of a technician provided the work is signed off by another qualified quality inspector. Licences & Qualifications Licence (required): FAA or EASA licence holder.
