About the Company Textron Aviation. As an intern with Textron you gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills, supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways, working on real projects alongside experienced professionals. Role Overview This is an internship vacancy for a flight instructor, not a training course. The intern inspires the journey of flight in general aviation's most iconic aircraft by sharing experiences and expert product knowledge, working as a flight instructor to design and create aviation experiences for team and club members, and developing professional and technical skills for their aviation career. Key Responsibilities Embody Textron Aviation's values to complete the collective mission and achieve the vision. Act as a flight and ground school instructor for club members and interns. Conduct classroom instruction. Operate company and club aircraft within all applicable FAA and ICAO regulations, complying with all regulations and local operating procedures. Maintain a thorough knowledge of appropriate aircraft models, systems, avionics and equipment. Attend training as required. Perform office tasks such as answering phones, processing member paperwork and answering club members' questions. Adhere to and support the club's policies, procedures, guidelines and responsibilities. Communicate with club personnel and ensure they are aware of noteworthy issues. Always maintain safety as the prime consideration for all operations.
