Job description

ALG, specialits in Aviation Talent, is currently seeking for an experienced Public Relations Manager for our growing aviation client in China. This role will be a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop PR and media strategies in China in line with headquarter Communications strategy
  • Coordinate PR activities across China
  • Engage key audiences across China to protect and boost company's brand and reputation, including media and social media influencers
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Produce editorial materials such as media releases, media alerts and articles to help promote company's key messages in external media outlets and build the company's reputation
  • Create presentations and other materials for stakeholder engagement activities of China senior executives
  • Actively seek and identify editorial and other PR opportunities
  • Work with the social media team to enhance our public relations efforts
  • Assist with issues and crisis management situations

Requirements:

  • More than 7 years of public relations or media experience and a minimum of 3 years in managerial position
  • Excellent communicator with demonstrable evidence of ability to generate editorial copy and a good sense of what is "newsworthy" in a PR sense
  • Experience in producing analytical, insightful reporting of data across various metrics (market research and strong Excel skills preferred)
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and experience in stakeholder management across all levels
  • Ability to work to short deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to be flexible where necessary
  • Highly developed multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Business or University qualification in public relations or journalism preferred
  • Prioritise workload in line with urgency and importance, and able to work to short deadlines
  • Ability to think on one's feet and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
  • Share accurate and relevant information with others
  • Effectively build rapport and make others feel comfortable
  • Honest, trustworthy and can be relied upon for confidentiality
  • Self-disciplined, organised and determined to deliver results
  • Suited to flexible working hours - work may be required outside business hours
  • Pursue success with energy and drive
