Job description

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Base Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Teesside Airport. As a Base Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on a wide range of aircraft, ensuring they are safe, airworthy, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on various aircraft types.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of aircraft components as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and safety standards.
  • Complete maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an aircraft mechanic, preferably in a base maintenance environment.
  • Valid UK Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours when required.
