Job description

ALG are currently seeking a skilled Ground Support Vehicle (GSV) Mechanic / Technician to join our reputable aviation client located at Brisbane Airport. This opportunity presents an exciting chance to contribute to the efficient operation of ground support equipment and play a vital role in maintaining the company's high standards of service.

As a GSV Mechanic / Technician, you will undertake the maintenance, management, and disposal of GSE and T&ME (Tools and Test Equipment), in alignment with the Technical Maintenance Plan and on-condition serviceability. Your responsibilities include assessing and rectifying faults, ensuring the availability of equipment, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the induction, maintenance, management, and disposal of GSE and T&ME in adherence to technical plans and serviceability criteria.
  • Evaluate and rectify faults, including the initiation of parts orders required for GSE repairs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all tasks, following established procedures, orders, and instructions.
  • Foster strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, supporting efficient equipment management.
  • Collaborate with the Tool Store Technician in the daily management of GSE and T&ME, including involvement in Electrical Integrity Testing.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Trade qualifications and experience as a Ground Support Vehicle Mechanic or a minimum of Vehicle Mechanic trade qualifications.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and hydraulic skills, encompassing preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault finding.
  • Strong grasp of GSE electrical systems.
