Avionic Technician

Qualitair are currently looking to recruit experienced Avionic Technician.

Details:

  • Start: ASAP
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Shift: 12h / day
  • Tools: all tools provided
  • Salary: competitive ( outside IR35 )

Requirements:

  • Valid EWIS, FTS L2, HF
  • Initial EWIS, FTS L2, HF
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Having previous aircraft maintenance experience, line and / or hangar based.

The responsibilities will involve:

  • Undertake precise mechanical work and electronics repair.
  • Inspecting electronic and structural elements of aircraft on a regular basis
  • Diagnosing issues with aircraft and determining how to fix these.
  • Complete fault finding, repair and testing process using specialised and general-purpose test equipment
  • Undertake work in accordance with the manufacturer's component maintenance manual and regulatory approvals.
  • Complete accurate and legible repair records and ensure they are filed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an agreed level of quality, ensuring accuracy and safety standards are met.
  • Making reports on the work done and any components that need replacing
  • Using specialist equipment to check aircraft systems are in working order.
