Job description

Perform duties as an Avionics Systems Engineer at the F-22 Combined Test Force (CTF) at Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB), California. Responsibilities include avionics systems troubleshooting, software loading, test planning, test design, control room support and data analysis. Individual will be required to develop solutions to a variety of complex technical problems by interfacing and coordinating with internal and external military, civil service and contractor personnel.

Previous F-22 experience is highly desired. Applicant must have excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to interface with multiple organizations including Integrated Product Team (IPT) systems engineers, test pilots and management.

This position is for First Shift but, will require working flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary to support ground and flight test missions.

Position requires a current active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Active F-22 SAP/SAR CLR/Projects program access is preferred but, if not currently active, must be able to obtain F-22 SAP/SAR CLR/Projects program access. If, at any time, the applicant loses their security clearance, this will be grounds for dismissal. Security clearance information must be provided in application/resume to be considered for position.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).
  • Must possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree preferred
  • Previous F-22 experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
