Aeropeople are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer Team Leader (Avionics) to be based at our client's site at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.

Reporting into the Technical Services Manager, the role of the Systems Engineer Team Leader is to provide technical services support to the business.
Job Description:
- Oversight of fleet compliance
- Managing Airworthiness Directive, Service Bulletin and Modification embodiment
- Develop procedures for the integration of approved modifications into the FSTA fleet
- Setting up Airworthiness Directives, and Engineering Orders on the company's integrated IT system
- System Reliability (day to day), through analysis of defect reports, repetitive defects, trend monitoring and also preparing reports for company Reliability meetings in conjunction with MPRE.
- Monitor aircraft systems, flight characteristics and aircraft performance through the reliability programme
- Managing aircraft software, including Navigation data updates and data sanitisation.
- Update the Operator's EASA sub-parts K & L register.
- CVR/DFDR readout management.
- ELT programming
- Assess aircraft manufacturing and OEMs information on avionic systems and recommend and co-ordinate implementation when approved.
- Liaison with the manufacturer and OEMS to obtain approved data and repairs/rectification.
- Provide technical query assistance to Line and Base maintenance.
- Evaluate new and used aircraft configuration and advise senior management.
- Instigate and attend design review meetings as required.
- Analysis of defects and reliability data within established standards to ensure suitable and adequate changes are made to the programme in conjunction with the MPRE.
- Assisting Technical Admin with check planning (tooling and spares)
- Process Technical Queries and disseminate information through Technical Instructions
- Work out and manage schedules for repairs and maintenance
- Process Technical Queries and disseminate information through Technical Instructions.
- Investigate design faults arising throughout the life cycle.
- Provide technical support for the Third Party service provider.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous demonstrable experience in a Technical Services role, preferable involving the management of the civilian type aircraft
- Demonstrable experience in developing and managing technical procedures manuals and company expositions.
- Demonstrable ability to work within a multi skills team
- Demonstrable experience in technical and operational delivery requirements in accordance with technical procedure manuals and company expositions
- Demonstrable experience in working with complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) IT systems for the purposes of aircraft technical management.
- Previous experience working on a new aircraft start up project, including development of a technical management solutions is desirable
