Job description
Purpose of the job:
The purpose of the MCC Engineer is to maximise aircraft availability, by coordinating all inputs and stakeholders, ensuring minimum disruption and performance of required maintenance, while ensuring a safe and airworthy operation.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensures that the aircraft are released timely, airworthy and in a safe manner
- Liaises closely with operations to ensure aircraft meet scheduled departures
- Manages any AOG recovery with other stakeholders as necessary, including preparation of work orders, one-off authorisation requests, etc., as appropriate
- Maintains direct and real time communication with OCC at ALL times
- Coordinates Aircraft Maintenance Schedule/ Operations Schedule, Base Maintenance and Line Stations to align aircraft for defect rectification
- Liaises closely with line maintenance providers to ensure that all planned maintenance is performed
- Ensures that all daily activity and reports are maintained in line with the agreed procedures
- Supports contracted AMO and engineering department on interpretation of Maintenance Data and guidance for troubleshooting defects
- Supports both Flight crew and contracted maintenance providers on the completion of the
Electronic TechLog, if necessary - Prepares daily critical and delay reports
- Maintains the aircraft to agreed levels of deferred defects (MELs and ADDs)

Requirements
- B1 or B2 Licensed Engineer holding or previously held company approvals on A320-21/ B737 NG or similar type, or
- A master degree holder with A320-21/ B737 NG or similar type training
- Extensive A320/21 and/or B737 NG experience (essential)
- Minimum of 5 years Aircraft Maintenance Experience preferably within MCC or line maintenance
- Good knowledge of both Part 145 and Part M regulations
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Well versed with AirNavX/MyBoeingFleet and standard MS Office suite
- Be able to make quick decisions on technical related items and prioritize activities
- Excellent communicator and teamplayer
- Good cost awareness
- High level of attention to detail
