AirBridgeCargo Airlines, part of Volga-Dnepr Group, entered the scheduled cargo market in 2004 when the first AirBridgeCargo branded Boeing 747 made its inaugural commercial flight on the 23rd of April. This milestone for the Group was the realization of two years or preliminary work to build the airline’s fleet, network, management and personnel under its Russian Scheduled Cargo Operation Development Strategy.Today, AirBridgeCargo is the Russia’s largest carrier in the international scheduled cargo market. It operates Boeing 747 all-cargo flights via Russian cargo hub in Moscow, which provide its customers a significant reduction in transit times and improved connectivity for the airlines network. ABC is the first Russian airline to operate Boeing 747s. АirBridgeCargo’s current fleet consists of twelve Boeing 747 freighters: four Boeing 747-400ERF, three B747-400F and five brand new Boeing 747-8F. The average fleet age is about 4 years. The airline is available for transporting any type of cargo, including shipments requiring special handling or a temperature-controlled environment.The airline performs schedule flights from the major cities in Asia to the major European gateways, as well as from Asia to USA via hub in Sheremetyevo. At present AirBridgeCargo route network includes following destinations in Europe: Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Zaragoza, Milan, Paris, Leipzig, Munich; in Russia: Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk; in Asia: Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Seoul, and Tokyo; and Chicago and Dallas in the USA.Taking advantage of Volga-Dnepr Group’s specialist air charter fleet, AirBridgeCargo's customers can also request charter operations to any destination worldwide using in-fleet B747s as well as Russian-made Antonov 124 and Ilyushin 76 freighters, including the new IL-76TD-90VD freighter. Combining high quality service levels and a range of competitive products, AirBridgeCargo’s route network has developed to meet current market demand and is based on mutually beneficial relationships with key customers, including global and regional forwarders and logistics companies. In addition to its own routes, AirBridgeCargo’s delivery network is enhanced by interline agreements with other leading scheduled airlines, including Nippon Cargo Airlines, Air Canada, Emirates and Cargolux.AirBridgeCargo is committed to participating in leading industry groups that improve quality of service for its customers and help to establish the airline as a reliable and professional business partner. These include Cargo 2000 and TAPA. In 2014, AirBridgeCargo had successfully passed audit procedures for compliance with the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has decided to extend the IOSA certificate for another two years (till November 2015). The certificate confirms that AirBridgeCargo activities conform with the highest air safety requirements.
