The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.The Instructor Pilot will report directly to his/her line manager, Chief pilot or the PAG Commander, conducts scheduled or immediate helicopter transport operations for passengers, possess the experience and competence level to provide safe worldwide helicopter transport operations; complies with and is knowledgeable of the host-nation regulations. Mission profiles include single/dual pilot operations ranging from NVG flight, ship deck landings, multi-aircraft formation flight (similar or dissimilar in type) in different environmental conditions. The Instructor pilot performs his/her duties during day/night/instrument flight rules/overwater/mountainous and desert type terrain to improved or unimproved landing sites.&nbsp;Main Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Performs all duties and tasks as directed or assigned by his/her line manager, Chief pilot or the PAG Commander.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform as a Pilot-In-Command and/or Instructor Pilot in PAG Aircraft, accomplishing scheduled and unscheduled flights as well as post maintenance flights, acceptance flights, and support missions as prescribed by the customer.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct advanced planning, aircraft launch and mission execution in accordance with (IAW) approved standing operating procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Duty cycle commences upon arrival at place of duty and ends 14 hours after the arrival at the place of duty; thereafter IAW approved SOP.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct mission analysis, risk management-mitigation and accepts or rejects mission changes while actively flying.&nbsp;</li><li>Deploy to foreign countries to conduct missions as assigned and IAW host country regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Within or while outside of the UAE; conduct single / dual pilot operations, to improved or unimproved landing areas</li><li>Provides formal / informal training and evaluation(s) as required by the training department.&nbsp;</li><li>Brief crew members and non-crew members on safety, emergency procedures, and scope of mission. Pilot aircraft and command crew to accomplish assigned mission.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours; as directed per his/her line manager, Chief Pilot or the PAG Commander.&nbsp;</li><li>Represent the UAE and the PAG by positive actions, attitude, and appearance.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that all aircraft procedures, flight operation practices, standards and records comply with the Private Aviation Group, Original Equipment Manufacturer and country specific regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Obtain briefing information on the purpose of the flight, weather, operation procedures and any special instructions. Prepare flight plans considering factors as altitude, terrain, weather, aircraft, crew capabilities, threats, operational and training requirements, and flight procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensue aircraft are being operated to airworthiness standards prescribed by applicable regulations, technical manuals, airworthiness directives and good maintenance practices.</li><li>Ensure the aircraft has a pre-flight, is properly loaded, equipped, and manned for the mission. Preflight aircraft and test systems for proper operation. Ensures that weight and balance is correct, fuel supply is adequate, and equipment is properly stowed.&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess an ability to interact with various cultures.</li></ul>Benefits Include:<ul><li>Flights out paid for- up to 2 adults and 3 children (paid out for employee at the start and the rest of the family after employee completes probation period)</li><li>Hotel paid for 2 weeks upon arrival (can be extended on a case by case if necessary)</li><li>Shipping allowance (paid upon completion of probation period which is 6 months)</li><li>They are able to give a housing allowance advance which employees then pay back each month out of their salary</li><li>30 days annual leave plus 12 public holidays</li><li>Education allowance of 40,000 AED per child, up to 3 children, between ages 3- 19</li><li>Medical insurance including optical and dental for 2 adults and 3 children</li><li>End of service payment (21 days salary after 1 year’s service and up to 5 year’s service then 30 days salary for each year after 6 years)&nbsp;</li><li>Annual Vacation Ticket tickets for candidate, spouse and up to 3 dependents (who are under the employee’s sponsorship) in a contract calendar year</li></ul>About You:<ul><li>High school graduate, BA or BS preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Transport Pilot Helicopter ATPL(H) with current Instrument Rating (FAA / EASA).&nbsp;</li><li>Flight instructor license, military instructor pilot course or equivalent. (Certified Flight Instructor [CFI], Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI), Type Rating Instructor [TRI])&nbsp;</li><li>Emirati pilots, certification as a Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI) or Type Rating Instructor [TRI]).&nbsp;</li><li>Must have valid passport.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to pass a background security check.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have a current Class 1 flight physical and pass a UAE military flight physical.</li><li>Must pass a hands-on flight evaluation.</li><li>For AW-139: Minimum 4,500 total flight hours, of which at least 1,500 is in type (AW 139) but not less than 800, 1,000 flight hours as a RW PIC, 500 hours multi-pilot (MP) operations, 200 flight hours night, and 100 flight hours actual or simulated instrument. AW-139 type rating from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training facility or an Approved Training Organization (ATO). Other combinations of experience and education that meet these requirements may be substituted.</li><li>For H-145: D2/D3 type rating from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training facility or an Approved Training Organization (ATO). Minimum 4,500 total flight hours, of which at least 1,500 is rotary wing (RW), 1,000 flight hours as a RW PIC, 200 flight hours night, and 100 flight hours actual or simulated instrument.
