The Staff Engineer, Engineering &amp; Investigations provides staff coordination and liaison with government, industry, and professional groups on behalf of the Air Safety Organization (ASO) and other Association committees, MECs, and National Officers, as assigned by the department Director or Manager. They provide coordination and technical support for NTSB, TSB, and ICAO Annex 13 accident and incident investigations. They must effectively represent the Department and Association by interacting with government and industry safety officials on a regular basis. They participate in the interpretation and analysis of flight recorder data. They also analyze internal and external accident investigation databases to identify trends and develop mitigation strategies.
