About the job Terminal Operations Officer The Terminal Operations Officer plays an important role in managing the container movement at the port. The incumbent coordinates and collaborates with different stakeholders to ensure that all movements in the Port are done on time and accurately. Job Description: <ul><li>Supervise day-to-day terminal operations, ensuring that activities run smoothly and efficiently.</li><li>Ensure that the container vans are of good quality and readily available for the clients.</li><li>Coordinate with the Port OIC in checking and validating stocks of container vans in the terminal/port.</li><li>Ensures that the reports are updated, and all documents are checked and signed accordingly.</li><li>Get updated on the status and position of vessels, berthing status, and estimated time of arrival and departure of vessels.</li><li>Record and report the actual TEUs loaded in the vessel.</li><li>Ensure that the cargo and container vans are properly and safely handled in the port.</li><li>Coordinate with the transport team and ensure that the trucking services follow the PSACC procedures and standards in handling the documents (BL, Invoice, gate pass, etc.) and compliance with the port rules and regulations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with port authorities regulations including document processing.</li><li>Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations governing port operations in the Philippines</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related field.</li><li>With 3 or more years of experience in container yard operations, cargo handling, or similar roles is an advantage</li><li>In-depth knowledge of container management and container handling, yard layout optimization, and cargo management.</li><li>Familiarity with container tracking systems, and other relevant software required for the job.</li><li>Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Organizational, planning, and time management skills.</li><li>Diligent with great attention to detail.</li></ul>
