Trainee Air Traffic Controller

An exciting new position has opened up within Marshall. We are currently seeking an additional Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) for our airport in Cambridge. Air traffic controllers at Cambridge provide Tower, Radar and Approach services for a variety of military and civilian aircraft, within a small and highly motivated team with plenty of opportunities to progress your career. Responsibilities: As an ATCO you will provide a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of ATC services to all aircraft operating under Instrument &amp; Visual flights rules when arriving, departing, or operating in the vicinity of Cambridge City Airport, de-conflict aircraft from vehicles and other obstructions on the ground while operating at all times within the limitations of their ATC license. You will ensure that all services are provided in conformance with CAA Regulatory Standards and local Cambridge City Airport instructions including CAP 493 (MATS Part 1), MATS Part 2, the Cambridge City Airport Safety Management System, and all other documentation to assure the initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations. Air Traffic Controller

Our Air Traffic Services team play an essential part in maintaining the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic at our airport. London Southend Airport is one of the only London Airports within the controlled airspace that provides both Radar and Tower services on site. As an Air Traffic Controller at LSA you will make sure that aircrafts are always safe in our airspace, on the ground and within the manoeuvring areas. All while working in line with regulatory standards. We bet you're thinking "so what is it I will actually be doing day to day?" well.... <ul><li>I will organise and control air traffic arriving, departing, and flying in the vicinity of London Southend Airport</li><li>I will control both aircraft and vehicles on the manoeuvring area.</li><li>I will be responsible for providing an alerting service to airfield and external agencies. </li><li>I will produce and publish meteorological reports in line with CAP782.</li><li>I will be responsible for the selection of airfield lighting in accordance with CAP168. </li><li>I will fully embody the Airports 'One Team' culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business. </li><li>I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays</li></ul> Sounds good so far?
