Trainee Air Traffic Controller

About This Role <ul><li>To control and coordinate the movement of the NFTI Air traffic ensuring smooth, safe and efficient flying training. </li><li>Coordinate with CNS/ ARFF/ ELECTRICALS/ and other agencies for ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of flying operation. </li><li>Provide traffic information to all traffic in air and ground and ensure adequate separation/ Prevent collision between aircraft and also to maintain the log of all flights operating at Gondia airport. </li><li>Monitor serviceability status of various sub-systems and in the event of malfunctioning /degradation / failure of any sub-system reports the same to respective departments as necessary for rectification action on priority. </li><li>Coordination between NFTI Traffic and other adjacent Air Traffic Control unit. </li><li>Report any incident / accident to the ARFF and respective departments. Take actions in accordance with contingency plans to deal with aircraft emergency/accident as appropriate. </li><li>Carrying out periodic R/W inspection. </li><li>Air traffic controllers' primary concern is safety, but they also must direct aircraft efficiently to minimize delays. They manage the flow of air traffic within airport airspace &amp; guide pilots during takeoff and landing. </li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS Preferably CPL holder and or with Flight radio telephony license or with defense background, experience in handling air traffic. Minimum Passed 10+2 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Preferably having aviation experience at-least of 2years. LANGUAGE SKILLS Should be well versed communicating in English and aviation terminology. Air Traffic Controller

Our Air Traffic Services team play an essential part in maintaining the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic at our airport. London Southend Airport is one of the only London Airports within the controlled airspace that provides both Radar and Tower services on site. As an Air Traffic Controller at LSA you will make sure that aircrafts are always safe in our airspace, on the ground and within the manoeuvring areas. All while working in line with regulatory standards. We bet you're thinking "so what is it I will actually be doing day to day?" well.... <ul><li>I will organise and control air traffic arriving, departing, and flying in the vicinity of London Southend Airport</li><li>I will control both aircraft and vehicles on the manoeuvring area.</li><li>I will be responsible for providing an alerting service to airfield and external agencies. </li><li>I will produce and publish meteorological reports in line with CAP782.</li><li>I will be responsible for the selection of airfield lighting in accordance with CAP168. </li><li>I will fully embody the Airports 'One Team' culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business. </li><li>I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays</li></ul> Sounds good so far?
