Reports to: Crew Optimisation ManagerDepartment: Operations Planning (OPN)Operations Planning Team (OPN) drives the growth and strategies of Cathay Pacific’s airline operations. We plan holistically for our flight operations, engineering, service delivery and the airline’s service subsidiaries, while ensuring our airline operations remain both commercially profitable and operationally reliable.In the Jeppesen Crew Pairing (JCP) and Jeppesen Crew Rostering (JCR) environment, You will lead and provide direction and support for the team of RAVE programmers in Crew Resources, to ensure that the team is optimally proficient and able to drive change.You will also be responsible for developing strategies to enhance Cathay Pacific's crew scheduling optimisation capabilities, improving crew productivity, satisfaction, and reducing costs, while working closely with the Crew Optimisation Manager and the broader delivery team.<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Lead a team of RAVE Optimisation Analysts: manage day-to-day tasks, build in-house expertise, develop knowledge and know-how regarding RAVE coding, optimisation, calibration/tuning and analytics</li><li>Hands-on development/testing of key system enhancements to align Pairing &amp; Rostering solutions with evolving crewing restrictions and requirements.</li><li>Conduct calibration and tuning of optimisation models, perform scenario modelling, and lead exploratory studies and “what-if” analyses in response to evolving business needs</li><li>Collaborate with the team to support the modelling and fine-tuning of the Boeing Alertness Model (BAM), ensuring the accuracy in reflecting operational realities and contributes to effective fatigue risk management and crew scheduling strategies</li><li>Review, recommend and develop Jeppesen Crew Pairing (JCP) and Jeppesen Crew Rostering (JCR) system changes for crew scheduling optimisation and as a result improve productivity</li><li>Co-ordinate cross-functional teams to drive new business initiatives, including support in crew management system development and enhancements, while initiating any required business process changes</li><li>Act as focal point in discussions with Crew Scheduling business teams and vendor product teams regarding core changes and/or new features that would benefit Cathay Pacific’s operation</li></ul><h2>Requirements</h2><ul><li>Degree holder in the discipline of mathematics, technology or a related area preferred</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of Jeppesen crew planning systems or relevant optimisation systems</li><li>Experience in conceptualising creative solutions/ideas, as well as documenting and presenting them for senior management buy-in</li><li>Ability to present complex information in a simple and easily understandable way</li><li>Hold in-depth knowledge of Flight Time Limitations, understanding of the Airline Operations domain, needs and pain points</li><li>Hold in-depth knowledge of the workflow in Crew Resources &amp; Operations Analytics and how pairing and rostering solutions impact the crew planning, rostering and day-of-operations</li><li>Strong software development skills, especially in Python and Jeppesen Rave.</li><li>Strong numerical, analytical and planning skills; good computing and statistical ability</li><li>Project management skills and usage of project management tools (such as JIRA)</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and work well in a team environment</li></ul><h2>Personal &amp; Application Information</h2>Cathay Pacific is an Equal Opportunities Employer. Trainee Air Traffic Controller

An exciting new position has opened up within Marshall. We are currently seeking an additional Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) for our airport in Cambridge. Air traffic controllers at Cambridge provide Tower, Radar and Approach services for a variety of military and civilian aircraft, within a small and highly motivated team with plenty of opportunities to progress your career. Responsibilities: As an ATCO you will provide a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of ATC services to all aircraft operating under Instrument &amp; Visual flights rules when arriving, departing, or operating in the vicinity of Cambridge City Airport, de-conflict aircraft from vehicles and other obstructions on the ground while operating at all times within the limitations of their ATC license. You will ensure that all services are provided in conformance with CAA Regulatory Standards and local Cambridge City Airport instructions including CAP 493 (MATS Part 1), MATS Part 2, the Cambridge City Airport Safety Management System, and all other documentation to assure the initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations. Our Air Traffic Services team play an essential part in maintaining the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic at our airport. London Southend Airport is one of the only London Airports within the controlled airspace that provides both Radar and Tower services on site. As an Air Traffic Controller at LSA you will make sure that aircrafts are always safe in our airspace, on the ground and within the manoeuvring areas.
