
Senior Powerplant Manager
AERVIVA, a Dubai based international consultancy specializing in aviation recruitment and document management, is supporting a leading European airline in the recruitment of an experienced Senior Powerplant Manager for a growing fleet based in Budapest.
Core Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an airline Powerplant Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience in on-wing engine troubleshooting
• Proven experience managing off-wing engine shop visits
• Experience with IAE V2500 and PW1100 (GTF) engines
• Experience with APU 131-9[A] preferred
• Solid knowledge of engine and APU maintenance contracts and commercial structures
• Experience handling ADs, SBs, LLPs, AMP compliance, and configuration control
• Exposure to aircraft and engine contracts, including end-of-lease processes
• Proven people management and leadership experience
• University degree in a relevant technical field (minimum BSc)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Powerplant team and support their professional development
• Act as the Powerplant focal point for the leadership team
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance and overall cost of ownership
• Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments including MCC, Planning, HME, Technical Supply, Finance, and Fleet Acquisition
• Manage relationships with OEMs and other contractual partners
• Provide technical oversight and support for engine and APU on-wing troubleshooting
• Coordinate and manage engine and APU shop visits, including work scope approval and commercial alignment
• Monitor engine and APU health, reliability trends, and long-term maintenance planning
• Support Finance with engine and APU cost forecasting and maintenance reserve management
• Contribute to aircraft and engine sale/leaseback and end-of-lease processes
• Participate in powerplant and APU tenders and commercial negotiations
