Production Scheduler

Location: Broughton (Onsite)

Contract: 12 Month Contract (possible extension)

Hours: 35 Hours per week, worked over 4.5 days (between 7am-7pm, hours agreed by the business)

Rate: £23.00ph PAYE / £30.76ph Umbrella

Overtime: Paid over 35 hours (25% uplift Mon-Fri, 50% Sat-Sun)
Clearance: BPSS (completed by the Client)
IR35: Inside IR35

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to join their Production Planning team at their Broughton site. This role sits at the heart of a multi‑functional manufacturing environment and plays a critical role in ensuring production capacity and capability align with commercial delivery requirements.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to deliver robust production plans, support operational decision‑making, and ensure adherence to agreed build schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across multiple products
  • Develop and update tactical build plans to optimise short‑term production
  • Carry out capacity and resource calculations to ensure workload and workforce alignment
  • Monitor adherence to production plans and ensure feasibility
  • Support recovery planning and scenario analysis
  • Agree and manage planning assumptions with key stakeholders
  • Compile and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Continuously refine and optimise production build plans

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in Production Scheduling or Production Planning
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions such as Operations, Logistics, Finance and Engineering
  • A proactive, self‑starting approach with the ability to "hit the ground running"
  • Comfortable using digital tools such as Google Workspace and/or MS Office
  • A working knowledge of Python would be advantageous
