Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Until 30/06/2026 (with potential for extension or permanent placement)
Rate: £24.66/hour PAYE | £33.00/hour Umbrella
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by client)
Our Client is a pioneering force in aerospace innovation, developing cutting-edge High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) technology. Their solar-electric aircraft operates at over 60,000 feet, offering ultra-long-endurance connectivity and Earth observation capabilities from the stratosphere.
They are seeking a Production Planner / Material Planner to join their dynamic manufacturing operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a world-leading aerospace programme and be part of a visionary team shaping the future of stratospheric flight.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand and resource availability.
- Manage production orders and material requisitions using ERP systems (D365).
- Monitor capacity and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
Inventory Management
- Track inventory levels and coordinate material movement to avoid shortages or excess.
- Use MRP tools to ensure timely procurement of parts and materials.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Generate reports to monitor KPIs such as delivery performance and inventory turnover.
- Analyse demand trends to forecast future production needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure material compliance.
- Communicate production status and constraints to management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.
Ideal Skills/Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in production/material planning within a project-based manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (preferably D365).
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA).
- Engineering industry background preferred.
