Buildings & Construction Buyer

Rate: Up to £44.00 per hour Umbrella / £32.89 per hour PAYE

Duration: Contract running until December 2026 (strong likelihood of extension)

Hours: 35 hours per week with flexible working across standard business hours

Location: Broughton- hybrid working, minimum 3 days on‑site per week

A leading organisation within the advanced engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Buildings & Construction Buyer to support major UK infrastructure and capital projects.

This is a long‑term opportunity offering stability, visibility and the chance to work on high‑value, complex procurement activity within a collaborative, multi‑functional environment.

The Role

You'll manage end‑to‑end procurement across Buildings & Construction, leading tendering, contract negotiation and supplier management. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll ensure suppliers deliver on cost, quality and schedule, while contributing to strategic cost‑saving and standardisation initiatives.

The role also supports a long‑term UK project, offering genuine influence and impact.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in procurement or buying, ideally within construction, infrastructure, engineering or manufacturing
• Strong commercial mindset with confidence in negotiation and supplier relationships
• Comfortable working in project‑driven, stakeholder‑led environments
• Ability to work on‑site in Broughton at least three days per week
