Material Support Manager

We are seeking a Materiel Support Manager (MSM) to lead, develop and motivate a team within the Materiel and Contracts organisation on a permanent basis at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow.


  • Enable the team to deliver their business objectives in relation to storage, distribution & delivery of all material and tooling requirements
  • Delivering the on the day operation on behalf of supply chain
  • Identify strategies to continuously improve the team's ability to ensure that -materials and tooling are available for the customer at the agreed time & place to effectively support operational requirements.
  • Ensure control of expenditure on materials/services to meet financial targets and produces weekly measures.
  • Initiate and implement short term recovery actions and plans to support production requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety, facilities, Airworthiness, and other regulatory requirements to deliver a compliant and safe operation


  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Experienced in the management of Health & Safety and Quality Systems.
  • Experience of delivering operational. performance balancing cost, quality and service
  • Has knowledge of relevant legislation as applicable to the role.
  • Basic purchasing skills.
  • Experience of Aircraft Tools and Equipment.
  • Knowledge of EWS supply chain module.
