We are seeking a Materiel Support Manager (MSM) to lead, develop and motivate a team within the Materiel and Contracts organisation on a permanent basis at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow.
Responsibilities:
- Enable the team to deliver their business objectives in relation to storage, distribution & delivery of all material and tooling requirements
- Delivering the on the day operation on behalf of supply chain
- Identify strategies to continuously improve the team's ability to ensure that -materials and tooling are available for the customer at the agreed time & place to effectively support operational requirements.
- Ensure control of expenditure on materials/services to meet financial targets and produces weekly measures.
- Initiate and implement short term recovery actions and plans to support production requirements.
- Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety, facilities, Airworthiness, and other regulatory requirements to deliver a compliant and safe operation
Requirements:
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
- Experienced in the management of Health & Safety and Quality Systems.
- Experience of delivering operational. performance balancing cost, quality and service
- Has knowledge of relevant legislation as applicable to the role.
- Basic purchasing skills.
- Experience of Aircraft Tools and Equipment.
- Knowledge of EWS supply chain module.
