Job Description

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines operates the fleet of the following aircraft: A320 family, B737 family, B777, B787 Dreamliner, B747 (Cargo).

Work Conditions

Interview, screening and training section

  • Step 1: Online assessment
  • Step 2: Psychological research
  • Step 3: Simulator Grading
  • Step 4: Discussion with the Adoption Committee (COVA)

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements
  • Multi-engine: 500 hours
  • Turbine: 500 hours
  • Type rating: Required
  • Flight time notes: At least 500 hours of experience on a heavy twin fixed wing (5,700 kg or more)
  • Currency: 150 hours of recent flying experience in commercial aviation
  • License req.: Frozen ATPL, IR, MCC, ME, UPRT
  • Open to Lic. Holders: EASA
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO ELP level: 6
  • Visa sponsorship: Not provided
  • Additional requirements: Good knowledge of the Dutch language. If you do not speak Dutch, you must take an exam at European Framework of Reference B2 level prior to the selection procedure.
  • Valid passport
  • Minimum MBO-4 diploma in technology or HAVO diploma, both including English, mathematics and physics or equivalent in the case of a foreign education
  • Preferred: Preferably a graduate of one of the following flight training courses: KFA, NLS, CAE, EPST, MFA or in possession of a Military Pilot License (MPL-A/H) from the Royal Netherlands Airforce.
