ALG Talent is hiring experienced CNC Machinists / Mechanical Fitters & Turners to join a leading aviation client's Component Maintenance team based in Melbourne, VIC.
This casual ongoing role offers hands-on work with aircraft components in a safety-critical environment, ideal for skilled tradespeople with aviation or precision engineering experience. Enjoy a strong work-life balance with a Monday-Friday roster (7:00am-3:30pm), with minor variations based on operational needs.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following requirements:
- Technical experience in aviation fabrication and servicing manufacturing parts of commercial aircrafts types
- Experience in machinery maintenance and overseeing repairs
- Previous program and experience on computerised CNC machinery / electrical equipment
- Full qualification as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner
- Preferably completed an engineering qualification or aerospace apprenticeship
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under minimal supervision
- Excellent team worker with effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrate willingness to multi skill and learn new technical and non-technical skills
- Must have full working rights in Australia
- Ability to obtain a red ASIC and to complete a security background check;
- Ability to undergo a Drug and Alcohol Screening Test
