Job description

Company is seeking a Flight Operations SpaceCompanyft Systems Engineer with extensive experience and understanding of core spaceCompanyft vehicle, payload, and ground systems engineering and analysis. The successful candidate will be adept in spaceCompanyft launch and initialization, integration, test, and on-orbit operations to assist the government in the execution of these functions. Due to the broad nature of the Flight Operations Division team's workload, the applicant should also have experience with acquisition, engineering, and operation of spaceCompanyft and SIGINT customer systems. Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of anomaly support, launch and mission readiness, and end to end space systems architecture. Primary work location is in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities
Provide launch and initialization, and mission readiness subject matter expertise (SME) to operations and engineering including readiness for launch, spaceCompanyft initialization, and transition to mission.
Provide support to launch processing requirements, planning, and execution.
Oversee all operations procedures and process changes along leading up to Operational Readiness Demonstrations (ORD), and other launch related milestones.
Perform risk assessments for the Organization commanders for each L&I milestone.
Work with government Contracting Officer's Technical Representatives (COTR) and Contracting Officer (CO) to provide technical and programmatic direction on multiple contracts in support of a US Government customer.
Develop and implement acquisition strategies for future contracts
Identify and evaluate alternative contract implementation strategies
Develop budget profiles, risk, and opportunities for various strategies
Develop annual IPBS budget builds
Effectively communicate advantages and disadvantages of various strategies
Draft and coordinate Statement of Work, Evaluation Criteria, and other portions of Requests for Proposal (RFP)
Participate in Organization source selection activities for O&M contracts
Facilitate communications to/from/across multiple contractor teams
Evaluate contractor proposals for technical, cost, and schedule content
Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for contract Organizationifications and new contracts
Plan and evaluate budget recommendations for contract execution to include researching, drafting and supporting Unfunded Requirements and the transition of the UFR to contract as required.
Assist in the day-to-day tactical prioritization of contractor tasks
Provide written and verbal evaluations of contractor performance
Identify and recommend courses of actions to improve support and operations across multiple locations and organizations
Anomaly Coordination/Support - Provide anomaly manager training, sit on certification boards, and maintain historical anomaly files/summaries, provide experience to anomaly resolution and decision making.
Maintain close communications with the program acquisition office and customer engineering organizations providing recommendations on risk level of spaceCompanyft activities.
Provide program technical and contract oversight support to the Flight Operations Division (FOD) leadership across its systems.
Oversee day to day execution of operations and processes to ensure proper attention to health, safety, and effective use of national resources.
Perform subject matter expertise advisory services to the US Government regarding strategy, operations, and management of national programs.
Evaluate Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), Operating Instructions, and other document to ensure consistency with contract and Senior Leadership direction.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Clearance required to start TS/SCI with Polygraph
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in STEM field is dictated by the contract
Project Management Professional certification or DAWIA COTR certification
4 Years' Experience in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and/or/closing DoD or Intelligence Community projects or Programs
Strong spaceCompanyft vehicle, payload, and ground systems engineering background
Experience in developing and executing acquisition strategies for future contracts including Statement of Work, Evaluation Criteria, and other portions of Requests for Proposal (RFP)
SIGINT systems engineering background and significant space and ground domain knowledge in customer mission technical capabilities and performance.
Technical familiarity with SIGINT system's payloads and sCompanyystems.
Familiarity with emerging technologies as related to spaceCompanyft
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build consensus across government, FFRDC, and contractor colleagues on operations and programmatic issues spanning technical, policy, cultural, and financial arenas
Demonstrated organizational skills; capable of initiating activities, developing execution plans, and executing schedule
Demonstrated ability to react in a fast paced environment to a variety of tasks; sometimes out of primary domain of responsibility
Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a dynamic team
