Job Description

• Formulate a flight plan 
• Conduct all pre-flight checks to ensure safety 
• Communicate with air traffic control to request for landing and take-off, or report any information on the flight plan 
• Check all the cockpit instruments to ensure proper functioning 
• Observe the weather conditions, aircraft position, and air traffic regularly during the flight and request a change of flight plan if needed

Requirements

What you’ll be doing:

You will perform aircraft maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Certifying Licensed Engineer, ensuring all work requiring a Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) is completed per the MOE, EASA Requirements, and NAA regulations. You will be fully conversant with accomplishing allocated tasks and seek guidance for unfamiliar areas. A thorough verbal handover of any partially completed tasks is required, ensuring documentation is completed as far as possible. You will report any defects or safety risks to the Maintenance Supervisor or Base Manager, adhere to all safety precautions and procedures, comply with health and safety requirements, and ensure that all facilities, tools, and equipment are satisfactory for the tasks. Compliance with Station Standing Instructions and accepting other duties and responsibilities as reasonably requested are also essential. Additionally, you will carry out all scheduled tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with approved maintenance documentation.

What you’ll need to do the role:

Candidates will demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation and ideally hold a time-served apprenticeship with operational experience in a hangar maintenance environment. A high degree of customer focus, both internal and external, is essential. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team at all levels of the organisation and show a willingness to be flexible to meet deadlines and overcome operational problems. Demonstrating a working knowledge of Health &amp; Safety Legislation and technical knowledge of aircraft, along with the hand skills required to carry out tasks, is crucial. Additionally, the ability to use aircraft maintenance documentation and computer-based reporting and recording systems is required.

• Monitor progress monthly against key account strategies and report back to Cargo VP/SVP, highlighting any issues or concerns making recommendations for action where applicable.

• Champion Key account issues within the organization, establish performance indicators. Primary point of liaison with customer on all business-related matters. Agree process with customer to monitor CF performance and retain accountability to address issues affecting Key customer support. Work with other departments to ensure continuous consistent service and growth.

• Working in conjunction with the cargo team to manage and process enquiries and tenders as well as resulting awards / fixtures.
