Job description

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Airbus Filton, Bristol, in the Fuel and Inerting Systems Domain of Engineering. The Fuel and Inerting Domain employs around 100 full time engineers to ensure the safe and effective storage, distribution, control and management of liquid energy on all Airbus commercial aircraft. They work closely with many other system and airframe engineering teams due to the integrated nature of these system functions at aircraft level.

The Fuel System Engineer will work on Continuous Product Development activities with our Single Aisle Products including progression of modifications to Fuel System Fluid Mechanical Equipment, investigation of in-service issues, follow-up of supplier quality issues, performing System analysis to support impact assessments of changes to the Fuel System.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Fluid Mechanical Work Package Leader and the various technical specialists to deliver engineering tasks associated with the Continuous Product Development of the SA Fuel System.
  • Progressing Modifications and System Impact assessments of the Fuel System.
  • Analysing Supplier Change requests and Quality Issues on Fuel Systems Equipment.
  • Performing Analysis of Fuel System performance.

Skill Set

  • Experience of working with Airbus Fuel Systems is preferred.
  • System Engineering and Equipment Development and Certification Experience beneficial.
  • Understanding of Airbus V&V Process.
