Thai Airways careers

Thai Airways is the national flag carrier of Thailand. The airline is also a member of Star Alliance. The company traces its roots back to 1960 when a joint venture of SAS and the Thai government established the airline. In 1977, the Thai government bought out SAS’s remaining shares and Thai Airways became a government-owned entity. Four years later, it merged with Thai Airways Company, to form one major airline in Thailand. In 1997, the airline, together with Lufthansa, Air Canada, SAS and United Airlines formed the first and biggest to this day airline alliance – Star Alliance. Including subsidiaries, such as Thai Smile and Nok Air, the airline group flies to over 90 destinations from Thailand. The fleet includes more than 100 various aircraft, primarily Airbus and Boeing, including the aircraft that its subsidiaries operate. The airline is one of the few companies in the world to operate an Airbus A380.  Thai Airways previously held the record of the longest non-stop scheduled flights – between Bangkok and Los Angeles and Bangkok – New York. The flights were suspended in 2012. Later on, Thai Airways started to focus on other key markets – such as Europe and Asia. Thai Airways was also the first airline amongst Asia-Pacific carriers which served London Heathrow airport. It also has the biggest numbers of passengers from Asia-Pacific airlines serving Europe. Thai Airways is constantly trying to innovate. It expects to be the first carrier in Asia to fly using only biofuels and the airline made its first experimental flights in 2011. It is a part of a programme called “Travel Green”. If you are a passionate explorer and you love to find challenges so that you can overcome them, consider a career at Thai Airways. Career options are available for Pilots, Cabin Crew and engineers! Not only you will work in one of the most prominent companies in Thailand but you will also be able to enjoy the beautiful country!
