Piedmont Airlines careers
Piedmont Airlines is a regional airline that is operating in the United States. It operates under the American Eagle brand and previously under the US Airways Express brand. Founded in 1962 by Richard Henson as Henson Aviation, the airline began its first scheduled flights to Washington National Airport. The predecessor to US Airways, Allegheny Airlines and Henson Aviation had one of the first code sharing agreement in the world. The agreement was signed in 1967. In 1983, Piedmont Aviation bought out the airline and rebranded it to Henson, The Piedmont Regional Airline. Combined, the airline has managed to quickly expand its network in the East side of the United States and managed to gain rapid success. That attracted the attention of US Airways, who purchased the airline and rebranded it to US Airways Express. In 1993, the Piedmont Airlines name was resurrected by US Airways, to protect their rights to retain the name. Currently, the airline has more than 7000 employees, operates 400 daily flights to 55 destinations and has a fleet of 56 Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft. As the regional market is growing rapidly in the United States, so is the airline. Thus, it’s offering career options for Pilots, Cabin Crew and Engineers. Consider a career in Piedmont Airlines!
