Hawaiian Airlines careers
Hawaiian Airlines is one of the biggest airlines in the United States and is also the flag carrier of the state of Hawaii. Established in 1929 as Inter-Island Airways, as the airline operated exclusively in the islands of Hawaii. This is your career opportunity to represent the volcanic islands in the sky as a pilot, engineer or a cabin crew member. Jobs at Hawaiian Airlines are tough to come by, so these are your unique career opportunities! Hawaiian’s first flights were conducted with small aircraft manufactured by Sikorsky and Bellanca. In 1941 the airline was renamed Hawaiian Airlines, as they added their first Douglas DC-3 aircraft and replaced the old Sikorsky flying boats. Hawaiian Airlines’ DC-3s broke the record for the longest flight over the ocean at the time, as they flew for almost 14 hours above the Pacific. The airline was the first one in the United States to offer Air Cargo services. Hawaiian started offering jet service with the addition of Douglas DC-9 aircraft to its fleet in 1966. Additionally, Hawaiian Airlines also introduced a new logo to represent the change to the jet age. The first version of the current logo and livery were introduced by Hawaiian Airlines in 1973 – the year signaled the start of the Pualani ear. In 1979 the airline was the first airline in the United States to operate a scheduled flight with an all-female pilot and flight attendant crew. As the competition ramped up in the islands of Hawaii, the airline aimed to expand quickly outside the islands and started offering trans-Pacific service and scheduled service between Hawaii and the mainland United States. Since then Hawaiian has managed to grow into one of the biggest airlines in the United States and create a unique connection between Asia, Oceania and the United States, with the islands of Hawaii in the middle of it all. If you want to Take Your Career To New Heights, Hawaiian Airlines is an exciting opportunity! Career options include jobs for Pilots, Cabin Crew and Engineers.
