GOL is an airline from Brazil that is based in Rio de Janeiro. In 2017, GOL occupied 36% of the Brazilian domestic market and 10.8% of the international market. That makes it the largest domestic and third largest airline in Brazil. GOL has hubs in Brasilia, Rio De Janeiro, São Paulo–Guarulhos, São Paulo–Congonhas, and Fortaleza-Pinto Martins. GOL commenced its first flight in 2001 when it took flight from São Paulo to Brasilia International Airport. The airline grew rapidly and in 2005 was the first airline serving every state capital of Brazil. After acquiring Varig in 2007, GOL became one of the largest airlines in the country. GOL currently is not associated with any of the established alliances as they prefer to work in codeshare agreements to broaden their horizons. The airline now operates 119 Boeing aircraft in its fleet. GOL recently ordered 131 more Boeing aircraft, with most of them being the 787 MAX 8 configuration. It flies over 700 daily flights to 94 destinations throughout the Americas. Joining one of the fastest growing airlines would be an excellent career move, so apply now!
