Summary
A Senior Quality Engineer resides in the Quality Team within the SSSQ Department. A Technical Specialist in aviation quality engineering management, reporting to the Manager, Quality in supporting the effective maintenance and implementation of aviation Quality Management System within Scoot. Incumbent is primarily responsible in Quality Engineering matters such as Audits, Certificates of Maintenance Review, Reliability monitoring, Aircraft accident/incident investigation, and new aircraft enter into service. Staff will also provide support to the quality team in terms other quality management system elements.

Job Description

Senior Quality engineer's primary and auxiliary responsibilities and deliverables includes:
  • CMR(certificate of maintenance review) review and authorisation.
  • Aircraft Mandatory reporting and Investigation Conduct quality engineering related investigations.
  • Review the qualifications, training and approval of Certifying staff.
  • Conduct quality related audits and surveillance.
  • Aircraft Certification and Manual administration including monitoring fleet continuing airworthiness related items such as Concession, RIE, aircraft certificates, manuals etc.
  • New aircraft delivery.
  • Assist with projects such as First of Type Aircraft Entry-into-Service, aircraft sales & leasing / deleasing,. Digitalisation Projects, etc...
  • Any other tasks and projects assigned by Manager, Quality

Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, aeronautical or related field and/or possess 5 - 6 years' experience (in aviation industry preferably) managing aviation quality preferred.
  • Possess a valid CAAS SAR-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence would be advantageous.
  • Completion of CAAS M09 and M10 courses or equivalent.
  • Preferably attended Quality Management System (QMS) internal Auditor course or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of CAAS ANO, ANR, SAR regulatory airworthiness requirements, including ISO 9001 QMS principles.
  • Possess good working experience in Quality auditing principles.
  • Possess good working knowledge in the operations Fleet Technical Management or Maintenance and Repair Organization.
  • Possess good experience in aircraft sales and induction would be advantageous.
  • Familiar with commercial aircraft systems, maintenance activities amd its operations.
  • IT proficient with good knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to travel for work.

Essential skillsets and knowledge required for the role includes:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Project Management skill would be advantageous

Aircraft licensed engineer with A320 and/or B787 type rating and quality management knowledge role would be advantageous.
