ALG is currently recruiting for a Logistics and Item Management Specialist role with our defence and aviation client based in Brisbane. This position involves managing the movement of repairable items and spare parts, coordinating asset transfers, inventory management, generating sales orders, and resolving any issues that arise.

The role offers full-time hours on a casual contract until December, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

To be considered, you will need the following:

  • Experience in material support or logistics, ideally in aviation or defence sectors
  • Familiarity with Australian or New Zealand Defence Forces and their inventory systems
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Understanding of defence supply chain requirements
  • Ability to manage purchasing, returns, and repairs of aeronautical products
  • Experience in planning and data review tasks
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Capability to manage supplier delivery and support issues
  • Ability to contribute to performance reporting and supplier reviews
  • Industry certification or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in CAMM2/Netmars (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to balance best practices with service requirements
