As a full-time employee of Contour Airlines:
  • You are eligible for health, vision, and dental coverage as well as short-term/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance policies. If selected, these are effective on the first day of the month following your date of hire. Our current benefit enrollment guide will be provided during the onboarding process if you are selected for employment.
  • You are eligible to participate in our 401(k) savings plan, which would also be effective the first day of the month following your date of hire. The Company match is up to 6%. Your eligibility to participate in this benefit will be in accordance with the normal practices and guidelines of the Company. Our current 401K enrollment guide will be provided during the onboarding process if you are selected for employment.
  • You are eligible to receive paid sick leave. You can accrue up to 56 hours per year which will roll over each year until your sick bank reaches 480 hours.
  • You are eligible to receive vested vacation hours. These hours are available to you on January 1st following your date of hire.
  • You are eligible for non-revenue/space available (NRSA) travel privileges after completing six active months of service.
  • You are eligible for a variety of leaves of absence including medical leave, non-medical leave for the care of a family member, maternity leave, paternity leave, personal leave, etc. Specific information regarding Contour Airlines' leave of absence policy is outlined in our Employee Handbook which will be provided to you during the onboarding process should you be selected for employment.

Additional information:
  • The starting annual salary for this position is $36,000.00. Based on your performance and your pay anniversary date, you are eligible to receive yearly increases until your salary reaches $44,959.07.
  • Based on your schedule and if certain thresholds are met, you are eligible to reach pay incentives for additional trips worked or assigned that are paid in addition to your monthly salary. Specific information regarding these pay incentives are outlined in the Scheduled Pilot Work Rules which will be provided to you during the onboarding process should you be selected for employment.

Summary of Essential Duties:

Our Flight Operations Department has an exciting opportunity for a First Officer position on the CRJ 200. They will need to be a team player while seeking excellence in every aspect of their performance. Join a hardworking team, which strives to safely and professionally meet the travel needs of its clients, while adhering to the company unique culture of safety, service, and integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Put safety above all.
  • Comply with schedules and other directives governing the aircrafts operation
  • Perform all company assigned duties in accordance with company manuals, memos, and policies
  • Conduct diligent preflight planning and prepare flight plans
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers
  • Ensure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all of the necessary provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers
  • Wear the company issued uniform and comply with the uniform policy.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have Commercial Multi- Engine Instrument License
  • Possess a current first-class medical (verified at the time of the interview)
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Worldwide/International aviation experience
  • Be a U.S. citizen or upon hire show proof of right to work in the U.S.
  • Possess a valid drivers license
  • Possess a current passport
  • Able to lift 75 lbs. routinely with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Hold an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE)
  • Able to work in stressful situations and tight time constraints
  • Be self-motivated and a team player
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedules
  • Able to successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, pre-employment drug test, reference check, national drivers record check, and no excessive check ride failures
  • No previous aviation related accidents or incidents
  • Must live within 120 minutes of base
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.

MINIMUM AND/OR RECOMMENDED FLIGHT TIMES:
  • Total Time: 500 Minimum
  • Multi-Engine Time: 25 Minimum
