YOUR TASKS:
- Design, develop, and maintain highly available and scalable databases;
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, providing solutions to optimize database operations and minimize downtime;
- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data;
- Conduct regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, indexing, and cleanup processes to ensure data accuracy and efficiency;
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases with existing applications, enhancing functionality and performance;
- Provide guidance and support for database design, development, and optimization efforts, ensuring best practices are followed;
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in database technology and security to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge and secure;
- Prepare documentation and reports on database status, performance, and maintenance for stakeholders and upper management.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or SQL Developer, with a strong focus on SQL Server;
- Expertise in SQL database design, development, and optimization;
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts;
- Experience with database security protocols, disaster recovery, and backup procedures;
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services (MS SQL, Oracle, Azure SQL) is a plus;
- Data warehouse maintenance;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
