We are looking for an experienced aviation professional with a passion for financial strategy, route analysis, and performance optimization to join us as a Commercial Business Controls Manager. We will entrust you to

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and route performance evaluation to guide commercial strategy and profitability
  • Monitor commercial performance against targets, prepare insightful reports, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead initiatives that enhance revenue streams, increase cost efficiency and improve EBITDAR results through innovative approaches and cross-functional collaboration
  • Leverage data analytics to identify key market trends, uncover new route opportunities, and assess competitive positioning for airBaltic
  • Assess commercial and financial risks, creating and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure stable growth

What you will need to succeed

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis within aviation, transportation, or similar commercial sectors, with a strong understanding of airline economics and operational dynamics
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical and visualization tools (Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Tableau) and experience with financial software systems
  • Proven ability to lead performance-driven initiatives and projects, collaborating with cross-departmental teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively share insights and build relationships across various departments
