ALG is currently seeking a CNC Machinists to join our defence client's team in Brisbane. This is a permanent position offering full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines to produce, modify, and manufacture components based on drawings and work orders.
- Record and sign off completed tasks on job orders.
- Ensure all finished work meets quality inspection criteria outlined in drawings.
- Use electronic workstations to track task progress and costs.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment necessary for job tasks.
- Perform routine machinery maintenance as needed.
- Complete on-the-job training according to specified standards.
- Execute JPTMS (jigs, programs, tools, materials, setup sheets).
- Independently set up, operate, and inspect components using 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
- Provide training to junior CNC Machinists.
- Maintain shift continuity by documenting actions and issues.
- Uphold high standards of product quality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations for safe operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on skills and qualifications.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
- Possess knowledge of manufacturing techniques, processes, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to producing quality work and meeting product standards.
- Have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail.
