Minimum Required Skills: Rotary Switches, Assembly Instructions, Electrical, Mechanical, Tolerances, CAD, MIl, switch mechanisms, Surface Finishes If you are a Mechanical Engineer with experience, please read on! Founded in 1965 and located in Santa Ana, we are a leading manufacturer of rotary swtiches for the aerospace industry. Our products have the ability to meet the strictest military standards and have been tested in numerous harsh environments. We are a privately held organization that serves primarily the military, aerospace and commercial markets. What You Will Be Doing - Design components from customer / marketing specifications & generate layout, detail, sub-assembly, final assembly, & outline drawings to completely define the product's electrical and mechanical parameters. - Generate specification control drawings for all purchased parts required to manufacture a product - Coordinate the documentation required for the development of new products w/ the Engineering Manager - Assist the marketing department in the preparation of pictorial art describing the company's products - Convert design concepts into proposal drawings - Design developmental & production tooling required for the fabrication of prototype or standard products - Have complete familiarity with the use of a CAD system for the creation of documentation with a professional format consistent with MIL standards - Engage in the coaching and training of drafting personnel as required - Assemble samples and prototypes as well as repair defective switch mechanisms - Review customer specifications for agreement with our product specifications - Analyze dimensional & electrical tolerances to verify compliance to the total error budget specified - Be familiar w/ standard machine surface finishes as well as supplementary finishes such as plating, anodizing, irriditing, etc - Submit periodic reports as required on the status of engineering projects, and related technical documents, assuring their timely completion - Check all department drawings, specifications, and other technical documents for accuracy, completeness & professional content - Make suggestions on product improvement that will serve to improve the company's competitive posture - Maintain the Engineering Test Lab and all its equipment in prime condition What You Need for this Position ***Experience with rotary switches would be ideal - but not required*** - Bachelors Degree (ideally BSME) - 8-10 years as a design / project engineer - 3-5 years of experience managing a technical group What's In It for You Full benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k)So, if you are a Mechanical Engineer with experience... 1) Apply directly to this link w/ an updated resume OR 2) Email me your resume & salary to Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Please apply directly to by clicking 'Click Here to Apply' with your Word resume!
