Pilot, Captain / Commander
Capstone Nutrition Overview: The person holding this position is responsible for working closely with assigned team, as well as supervisors and management to ensure the highest quality product is being manufactured by his/her team. This will be accomplished by coaching and developing team members to perform to company standards. Understands technical aspects of machinery for which is he/she is responsible. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Motivates team members to achieve daily goals and KPI's.Coaches and develops line associates to improve performance.Supports company standards ensure consistency in product creation.Has ability to make good decisions in critical situationsDesign and implement measurement systems to easily track and document productivity of production lines.Plays an active role in company lean initiativesMaintains line equipment and trouble shoots mechanical problems.Set up lines for production orders. Supports corporate ethics and standards, by example, and by directive.Sets daily, weekly, and monthly goals; measures progress and reviews with management regularlyAssures that the operation is compliant with the SOP's, proposed GMP's, and those procedures are adequately documented.Supports company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities. Proper use, care, and documentation exists of equipment and materials issued to work area.Recommends equipment purchases to improve operations, i.e. reduce costs, improve quality, reduce lead-times, etc.All other duties as assigned and needed REQUIREMENTS Technical college certificate in maintenance manufacturing/engineering and/or 5 years' experience in maintenance leadership roles.Training in automation preferred.Familiarity with One Point Lesson Plans, Standard Work Instruction and other visual management tools.Lean experience preferredAbility to communicate effectively, in both verbal and written formats. Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.Ability to effectively present information to upper management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Ability to, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. REQUIREMENTS Subject to normal warehouse and production environment.Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required and all personnel protective equipment is required.Subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes, odors, powders, dust and other particles.
