Job description
The Event Captain is responsible for communicating service needs to staff, stewards and chefs throughout the functions. This person will work to communicate additional F&B requirements to their team according to the BEO and Client Needs. While NeueHouse supports the ingenuity of today's start-up culture in spirit, we cater to established entrepreneurs who enjoy an elevated professional experience that combines design, hospitality, community and cultural programming.ResponsibilitiesEnsures attractiveness of food and beverage displays, display carts, buffets and coffee breaks so that a full merchandising effect can be realized through color, eye appeal and artistic arrangementResponsible for timeliness & efficient service of all meetings & social functionsLead team and delegate tasks, according to Banquet Event OrdersConduct detailed pre-shift and pre-function meetingsSet Event Space according to type of event and Steps of ServiceMonitor staff schedules, breaks and meal periodsServe as the point person between internal departments (F&B, Facilities, Operations)Assign tasks to team for opening and closing shiftMeet regularly (weekly) with Event Operations team to prepare for eventsMaintain highest levels of quality performance by staff at all times; consistent reinforcement and training of team to guarantee successMaintain presence on floor to ensure that functions flow smoothly and without incidentSee that guest satisfaction is achieved through effective supervision and delegation of responsibilities, check on food quality and courteous performance of entire event staffMaintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all timesPositively interact with guests and staff in order to ensure guest and associate satisfactionQualifications1-3 years of events experience, including events executionStrong interpersonal/leadership skills, professional caring approach towards employees.Previous Service ExperiencePrevious POS experienceAbility to manage a team.Strong knowledge of standard MS OfficeAdvanced Excel, Keynote comprehension is a plusExcellent communication skillsHighly responsible and reliableOrganized, detail-orientedAbility to prioritize, multi-taskStrong time management skillszfIyxPg8kg
