Job description
Do you have a CNC Milling background?

Do you have a supervisory/management/team leading skills?

Do you want to work within a first class aerospace manufacturing environment that machines and fabricate aircraft components?

Due to continued growth and strong order books we now require a shift manager to join the business in our aerospace and precision engineering section.

The basics:

Location: Derby

Salary: ?30,000-?34,000 basic + Bonus and shift premium = ?34,600 - ?38,600 + Overtime on top of this!

Shift: Monday to Thursday 15:00-23:00, with a short day shift 11:00-15:30 on a Friday.

Work environment: Clean, modern, warm manufacturing facilities

The role in brief:

Lead the shift with management and production duties
Lead and be part of the recruitment process, appraisal process, absence monitoring, disciplinary and other supporting duties to the production manager
Carry out production work
Continuous improvement project work
Coach and mentorThe ideal CNC Machinist - Team leader will have as many of the below in order to strengthen application:

A supervisory/management/team leading background ideally within a precision engineering/machine shop environment
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
ILM Management Cert - beneficial
Health and safety focused
Cost efficient/cost reduction aware
Waste reduction focused
