Reports to Engineering Manager
Required: - Primary duties include but are not limited to:Basic aircraft design (electrical and mechanical) experience.Basic electrical/mechanical engineering knowledge including: Schematic reading/understanding,Proven track record of understanding contractual technical requirement documents to install, test and verify hardware.Must demonstrate strong organizational, troubleshooting and problem solving skillsMust have a positive attitude with a strong work ethic and a strong desire to help the team exceed project goals as the company continues to grow.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot both aircraft (target simulation model) systems as well as simulator systems. This will need the understanding of:Electrical theory and applicationDatabus knowledge on how the buses communicate as well as need to be connectedRS232, ARINC 429 and 1553 are the busses we deal with mostUnderstanding of I/O logic (very similar to PLC logic)
Ability to understand aircraft wiring diagrams and be able to transpose that operation to the way the simulator is wired up to perform the similar function with the addition of failure points that have been added per contract requirements.Understanding of tooling and proper use. Crimp tools Multimeter Hand tools Ability to utilize Auto-Cad and/or Solidworks
Travel will be required and may include extended periods of time. Travel can be domestic or foreign. Will be required to visit customer and contractor sites for installations, meetings, etc. as determined by Engineering Manager
Desired:Previous aircraft simulation experiencePneumatic systems experienceMIL-STD-1553 and major commercial data bus systems related systems, subsystems and componentsPrevious military (service) cargo aircraft operation and or Military aircraft load master related experienceJob Type: Full-time
