Boeing is seeking Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspectors who hold an active Secret or higher security clearance to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance and alterations on production and experimental aircraft prior to, during and post flight test activities.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform production installations, maintenance, preventative maintenance and alterations on aircraft structure, systems and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics on standard or experimental certificated aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight.
  • Perform Quality functions such as Customer/FAA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations.
  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

  • Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
  • Use technical specifications, sketches, manuals, drawings, engineering instructions and FAA forms and publications to accomplish work assignment.
  • Maintains Company and FAA required records and inspection forms.
  • Plan and organize the sequence of your own work package in such a way as to promote safe, efficient operation and meet predetermined schedules in a timely manner.
  • Operate any and all types of information systems required to perform assigned tasks. Including but not limited to Company WEB based systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Interpret and perform to the requirements of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters and other approved/accepted data.
  • Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (at least Secret). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.
  • This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations.
  • Must be able to work any shift, overtime and holidays as required.
  • Previous avionics or electrical experience.
  • "This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. ? 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee."
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.
Typical Education/Experience
  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • A minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background.
Other Relevant Information:
  • This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement. Current Boeing employees working in Puget Sound and Portland must submit an Employee Request Transfer (ERT) to be considered in the eligible candidate pool.
  • This is an Evergreen requisition therefore job location may be in any Puget Sound (Seattle area) location.
  • This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
