Perform all tasks related to food and beverage service in a courteous and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area in accordance with company standards and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (includes but not limited to the following)
? Have extensive knowledge of all menu items (proteins, sauces, and textures) wine, and spirits.
? Have the ability to guide and educate your guest on our style of dining.
? Take and deliver beverage orders to guests and ensure correct and prompt delivery of orders.
? Enter order into POS to request food & beverage preparation.
? Observe guests to respond if additional service is required.
? Prepare check and deliver to guests when finished.
? Clear, clean, reset and maintain stations during shift.
? Follow all proper cash, credit card, and charge procedures
? Perform other related duties as assigned.
? Knowledge of all table setups/configurations (i.e., table tops, bridges, and linen)
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
? Knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages.
? Ability to perform basic math skills
? Ability to handle money and make correct change.
? Ability to read, write, and understand English.
? Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
? Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemicals labels, and other instructions.
? Comprehension of POS system.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
? Requires mobility, bending, and reaching from floor level to six (6) feet.
? Ability to reach a minimum of two (2) feet across a table to serve guests.
? Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering trays and carts weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds through crowded areas.
? Pushing and pulling chairs weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
? Moving tables weighting up to fifty (5) pounds.
? Sense of smell, touch, and sound.
? Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
? Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors.
? Normal vision and hearing range.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
? Work may be performed in small areas having a three (3) foot access.
? Use of chemical and electrical equipment.
? Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
