Position Title: Certified Flight InstructorPosition Reports to: Chief Flight Instructor Primary Objectives:Hangar 1 Flight Center is seeking a dynamic professional to provide excellent flight instruction and mentorship to our students in a safe and comfortable environment, as well as working together with other instructors to overcome challenges in the learning process. The ideal teammate will possess solid aeronautical knowledge, excellent communication skills, an exceptional customer service attitude, and the demonstrated ability to coach students and improve curriculum. About The JobCertified Flight Instructors provide flight and ground training for students under the guidance of the Chief Instructor. Our program allows instructors to work closely with their students and see them through the completion of the pilot program. Hangar 1 Flight Center offers opportunities for specialty training and we offer our full support in advancing the aviation career of our CFIs. Essential Job Functions:Execute flight instructor duties authorized by the Federal Aviation Regulation and in accordance with Hangar 1 Flight Center. ? Conduct excellent instruction with flight and ground students? Maintain and motivate student progress through the course(s), ensure course standards and training requirements are met. ? Ensure all required records are maintained in a timely and accurate manner. ? Communicate student training difficulties or delays to Chief Pilot in a timely manner. ? Determine aircraft airworthiness. ? Execute safe and accurate teaching practices at all times. ? Other duties as assigned. ? Act as ambassador for Hangar 1 Flight Center Job Requirements:? Must hold at least a 3rd Class Medical? Must have CFI or CFI-I? Preferred current Flight Review, Night Currency, IPC, Instructor Certificate(we can help with these)? Prior experience teaching in C172N, 172M, C150, 172XP, and Comanchee 250 is preferred, but not required.? Able to meet the Aviation English Language Standard (AELS) as outlined by the FAA.? Prefer instructors meet with each assigned student two-three times per week (instructor / student discretion).? Pay:$33,600 Based on $35/ hr flight time, 80 hours per month Housing:Assistance with finding inexpensive housing, Stillwater is 10% below national average Physical Demands:? Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling.? Ability to pull aircraft in/out of hangars with towbars at the beginning and end of day.?
