Virgin Atlantic Cabin Crew have a determined goal to make every customers' in-flight experience as memorable as the adventure that awaits them at their destination. We think our crew are the 5th Emergency service, superheros in the sky. We are more than delivering chicken and beef. Our dedicated trainers will ensure you are highly skilled in all safety aspects, are you cool calm and composed to assist in a medical emergency at 35,000 feet? You will go out of your way to ensure a smooth, safe, fun and happy journey for all our customers.

Day to day

You will be working alongside our established award-winning Cabin Crew, sharing your passion and dedication for delivering exceptional customer service.

We will support you in using your unique personality to deliver our shining service which will bring our brand to life, from greeting our customers on-board to wishing them well as they disembark.

During each flight you will actively promote our amazing Retail therapy range and work towards a revenue target. Our products are appealing to all and fun to promote so we truly believe in a sale through service approach.

What's more, your resilience to deal with the demands of a long-haul lifestyle and instinctive feel for Virgin Atlantic's service will make every flight something to write home about.

Skills for success

From relaxing on the beach in the Caribbean to shopping in Manhattan or cycling over the Golden Gate Bridge, there's no shortage of excitement and opportunity for you.

We are seeking people with the below requirements to meet the needs of this role:

  • An excellent command of English - both spoken and written
  • Experience delivering irresistible customer service
  • Warm, friendly and agreeable attitude
  • 18 years of age is the minimum requirement
  • Have an arm reach of 210cm (assessed at assessment stage without shoes)
  • Able to brace with your feet flat on the floor whilst sitting in our jump seat - which is 45cm from the floor (also assessed without shoes)
  • You will have no live criminal convictions or cases pending - including drink-driving convictions
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
  • As a confident swimmer, you will need to demonstrate that you can swim 25 metres unaided and tread water. This is while putting on and manually inflating a life jacket, this is tested during training. Don't worry if you can't swim yet, there is plenty of time to learn before your course.


Are you committed to undertake a rigorous, five week training course? We invest heavily in your career, so when you join us you'll be taught everything through our intensive but rewarding training programme.

There is approximately 20 hours of e-learning modules before you start your course to complete. This will be a great foundation which will see you prepped and ready to begin the training.
