Job title: Manufacturing Engineer

Salary: Up to ?42,000 depending upon experience Plus Benefits Package

Location: Stansted, Essex

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer responsible for undertaking technical evaluation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic aircraft components and associated systems to deliver engineering solutions.

An excellent opportunity to join an Aerospace Component Engineering Company who require a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

The key to success in this Manufacturing Engineer position is to effectively partner with commercial and production departmental heads and their teams to ensure opportunities for developing new engineering capabilities are maximised and engineering solutions are delivered in a timely manner, to budget and meeting quality and service expectations of the Client's customer base.

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

* Degree educated in an engineering discipline OR significant experience within an electromechanical environment.

* Lean certification (highly desirable)

* Project Management (essential)

* Minimum 5 years' experience as an ME within an engineering/ manufacturing industry, evidencing application of industry best practice

* Ideally experience will have been gained in an aviation environment but not completely essential if proven success in a related industry can be demonstrated

* Proven experience of supporting and working within multi-discipline teams

* Possess a strong understanding of quality systems and audit compliance; proven experience of working in a highly regulated and compliant environment

* Considerable change management experience; understands the change management cycle and experience of delivering therein

* Experienced practitioner of continuous improvement techniques

* Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential

* Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, deployed in a highly communicative manner across functional departments

* Evidence of strong people management skills; able to influence both performance and development

* Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and direct multi-functional teams delivering to detailed plans and time-lines

* Ability to create an atmosphere of team work and inter-departmental cooperation and respect

* Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi task

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

* Work with operational teams to improve process efficiencies and minimise waste

* Focus on continual development, coordinate implementation of process improvements to meet current and future requirements and operational excellence needs

* Plan and maintain projects in an efficient, cost effective manner, ensuring delivery to meet / exceed customer service expectations

* Negotiate and engage with suppliers and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget

* Initiate and/or lead improvement projects and CAPEX to enable new process and product introductions

* Ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing process flows are defined when introducing new products into operations

* Maintain an effective, timely and expedient communication to all stake holder levels

* Stimulate initiatives, innovations, and motivation for continuous improvements

* Offer technical backup to other Business Units

* Adhere to industry standard, EHS and QA rules and regulations

* To represent and positively promote the organisation at all levels

* Participate in training and personal development activities as required
