This is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-Time appointment.
This vacancy may be used at a later date to fill additional similar positions. All new United States Park Police Officers start at the SP-01 grade and salary.
PLEASE NOTE, PROCESSING INCLUDES: PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY BATTERY (PEB), WRITTEN EXAMINATION, FORMS REVIEW AND PANEL REVIEW WHICH WILL BE HELD IN WASHINGTON, DC
Must have logged 500 hours of Pilot in command (PIC) in helicopters (as defined by the FAA definition).
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
This position is designated as a primary law enforcement position for the purpose of retirement as defined in Title 5 U.S.C. 8336 (c) and 8412 (d).
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee.
Applicants for this primary law enforcement position must not have reached their 37th birthday upon appointment to this position unless there is sufficient prior Federal service in a covered primary law enforcement position to permit retirement on or before the mandatory retirement age for these types of positions.
