The Internal Communications Manager will play a key role within the Corporate Communications department of Wizz Air which manages the reputation of the company internally and towards the media and external agencies and develops the brand awareness, secures international press.


  • Internal communications

    • Employer branding

    • Implementation of internal stakeholder aspect of brand positioning and brand values

    • Managing the intranet (updating with latest news and announcement)

    • Managing internal video production

    • Managing the internal newsletter editions

    • Organizing and leading internal update communications

    • Managing the internal email distribution lists

    • Leading the corporate event organization and communication

  • Corporate identity

    • Participating at the brand review project – representing Communications department

    • Reviewing the corporate templates

    • Managing the Wizz Ambassador program

    • Holding presentations for the employees about the company

    • Writing articles in newsletters and magazines

  • Corporate Sustainability

    • Responsible for rolling out the CSR section on the website, keeping it up to date

    • Gathering internal CSR initiatives and updating the CSR section of the website

  • Strategy Communication

    • Putting together a communications plan to ensure that the Company’s strategy is communicated to all employees on a regular basis

    • Assisting in organizing workshops for other departments to formulate short and long-term objectives in line with the overall Company Strategy

  • Wizz Ambassador Project

    • Working close with other departments to roll out the new edition of Wizz Ambassadors

    • Compiling, managing and executing the entire cycle of the Wizz Ambassador program

    • Coordinating communications activities for Ambassadors

  • WIZZ Youth Challenge

    • Leading the WIZZ Youth Challenge international competition project

    • Formulating the Case study document

    • Managing the organization of the Semi-Final and Final events

    • Aligning with stakeholders on outcome

  • External communications

    • Representing the company at media events, press conferences when necessary

    • Handling press releases that involve CSR and WYC

    • Updating key messages and media questions

  • Managing event production and media tracking, coordinating the activities of agencies

  • Crisis communications

    • Handling internal communications in an event of any crisis situations

    • Advising the management in the effective communication in the event of any crisis situations

    • Preparing and updating communications strategy to protect the company’s reputation in case of crisis situation

  • Finalized degree from University or College in Communications / Marketing / Business related subject

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in internal communications, CSR or employer branding

  • Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills

  • Solid writing skills

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; Command of Hungarian is a plus

  • Availability for international travel up to 30% of the time

  • Effective research and administrative skills

  • Initiative, eye for details and a team player, quick thinker

  • Resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with people

  • Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines

  • Proficient in MS Office applications
