Job description

Purpose of the position:

The Division Controller, Commercial will report directly to the Head of FP&A and Controlling and play a critical role in driving the goals and profitability of the company. The Division Controller will partner with the Commercial team based in Geneva, Switzerland and is responsible for supporting and controlling the network and revenue management team. Intensive coordination will be needed with the Commercial departments (network, scheduling, marketing, sales, and PR) to make sure that the maximum level of revenue is being achieved at the lowest possible cost. In addition, the role will support cross functional projects lead by the Commercial department and also involving other areas. The Division Controller is also expected to be an agent of change and constantly look for ways to improve processes and the quality of information. The Division Controller must be an effective communicator and is responsible for raising issues to their Leadership Team members and organization Heads of Functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote the Wizz Air ultra-low cost values throughout the company
  • Coordinate and review the organization annual budget
  • Update the weekly forecast and ensure on time and accurate reporting
  • Work with the Leadership Team and Heads of Functions to improve the speed, accuracy, and reporting of the annual budget and weekly forecast process
  • Perform periodic reporting over the group’s commercial activities
  • Evaluation and analytical support for Wizz Commercial business cases and decisions (eg. New routes, new countries, and other opportunities as they arise)
  • Analyze and reconcile sales/accounting monthly ticket and ancillary revenues
  • Support marketing budget with cost inputs and profitability calculations
  • Develop KPI’s and dashboards to more effectively monitor and manage the business
  • Conduct ad hoc projects and reports to support the Leadership Team and operating groups
Requirements
  • University degree in finance, accounting, or economics is required
  • MBA preferred
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling is required
  • Excellent Excel and MS Office tools required
  • Background and understanding in general airline operations is an advantage
