Job description
  • Ensuring all regulatory responsibilities of GCAA are being followed as per the approved CAME;
  • Ensuring through the CAMO team members under his/her control, that the quality is accomplished to the highest standards of airworthiness considering principles of human factors,
  • Prepare / revise the CAME and Technical / Engineering Procedure Manual to be acceptable to the GCAA;
  • Conduct meeting with the CAMO team to review open issues, make new targets and follow-up
  • Leading the team of CAMO members for Maintenance Control
  • Ensure all departments are informed regarding scheduled/ unscheduled maintenance, AOG's etc
  • Any other ad hoc tasks as required by Maintenance Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Safety Manager, Airworthiness Review Manager
  • Single handedly representing the CAMO Department
  • Monitor followings :
  • Tech Logs
  • MEL with knowledge of OSD & MMEL etc
  • Maintenance work package to ensure the aircraft remains fully compliant, airworthy with the Maintenance Program as per aircraft/OEM, regulatory requirements
  • Effectiveness of Aircraft Maintenance Programs
  • Airworthiness Review Procedures/Certification, TCDS, STC, ICA, AFM, POH etc
  • Accomplishment and control of FAA, EASA, TC Aircraft/Engine/APU/Propeller/Equipment Airworthiness Directives (AD’s)
  • Accomplishment and control of Aircraft/Engine/APU/Propeller/Equipment Service Bulletins (SBs)
  • Completion and compliances of approved Modifications (Mods),
  • Monitor, Rectification, Control of defects, its analysis, Deferred Defects
  • Monitor CAR-21 & Engineering activities
  • Reliability programs
  • Compliances with regulatory requirements of weighing, test flights etc
  • Monitoring Engine Health Monitoring, CVR and FDR reports
  • Compliance with special operational requirements like RVSM, RNP, MNPS etc
  • Effectively manage contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, service providers
  • Ensure that Engineering, Quality, Safety Procedures are complied with, to achieve good maintenance practices
  • Knowledge of ICAO Annex, PMA Parts etc

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree or AME Diploma
  • GCAA Post holder approval in the past is preferable
  • Experience of types of aircraft / helicopter fitted with turbine / piston engine, propellers.
  • 5 years experience in a CAMO environment with similar aircraft type
  • Trainings of UAE GCAA CAR-M Subpart G and Subpart I, CAR-145, CAR-21, CAR-66, SMS, CAR-Ops
  • Trainings of Human factors, Fuel Tank Safety, Electric Wiring Interface System, SMS, CDCCL, Airworthiness Limitations, Planning & Reliability etc
  • Knowledge of software like CAMP, CMP, Cesscom etc
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with command over English language;
  • Extremely high caliber individual, with a consultative management style
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply regulatory requirements at workplace;
  • Strong relationship building skills
