Job description

Purpose of the position:

The Division Controller will report directly to the Head of FP&A and Controlling and play a critical role in driving the goals and profitability of the company. The Division Controller will partner with various Leadership Team members and organization Heads of Functions and is expected to act as their business partner and advisor in all financial matters. The Division Controller will work closely with the organizations to build the annual budget, update the weekly forecast, perform the monthly accounting close process, and develop KPI’s to more effectively monitor and manage the business. The Division Controller is also expected to be an agent of change and constantly look for ways to improve processes and the cost structure of the organizations. The Division Controller must be an effective communicator and is responsible for raising issues to their Leadership Team members and organization Heads of Functions.

Responsibilities:
- Promote the Wizz Air ultra-low cost values throughout the company
- Develop the organization annual budget
- Update the weekly forecast and ensure on time and accurate reporting
- Work with the Leadership Team and Heads of Functions to improve the speed, accuracy, and reporting of the annual budget and weekly forecast process
- Complete the accruals and review account level detail during the monthly accounting close process
- Perform analysis on the monthly end close numbers, build cost review presentations, and present trends and analysis to management
- Develop KPI’s and dashboards to more effectively monitor and manage the business
- Identify, track, and drive cost savings initiatives throughout the company
- Conduct ad hoc projects and reports to support the Leadership Team and operating groups

Requirements

- University degree in finance, accounting, or economics is required
- MBA preferred
- 4 to 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling is required
- Excellent Excel and MS Office tools required
- Background and understanding in general airline operations is an advantage
- Dynamic personality
- Hard working attitude
- Strong analytical skills
